Police Respond After Aggressive Pit Bull Reportedly Bites Multiple People at Walmart

A body-camera video showing police dealing with an aggressive dog outside a Walmart is circulating widely online.

Despite the way some social-media posts present the footage, the incident is not new.

The incident happened in Orlando, Florida, on April 9, 2025.

According to a 2026 recap of the body-camera footage, police were called to a Walmart after a 911 report involving an aggressive pit bull that had reportedly bitten multiple people.

When the first officer arrived, a woman was outside the store with the dog. The dog was reportedly on a leash that was tied around the woman’s waist.

The officer attempted to control the situation and instructed the woman to remain in one area away from people walking near the store entrance.

The situation became increasingly difficult as officers attempted to keep the dog and people separated.

The body-camera footage shows officers trying to communicate with the woman while dealing with the aggressive animal.

Animal-control personnel eventually arrived and helped officers gain control of the situation.

The case later resulted in an arrest and charges, according to the body-camera recap.

The viral social-media headline says, “Here’s Why You Don’t Bring a Pit Bull to Walmart,” but that wording is commentary rather than an official description of the incident.

The available footage provides a much more detailed look at what happened after officers arrived, but viewers should remember that the viral clip does not necessarily show everything that happened before police reached the scene.

The incident took place in 2025 and is now being reposted online in 2026.

The footage has attracted attention because it shows officers attempting to manage a potentially dangerous situation involving an aggressive dog in a busy retail environment.

The body-camera footage was reportedly obtained from the relevant law-enforcement agency and later edited into a shorter news-style presentation.

As with any viral body-camera video, individual claims made in captions and comments should be separated from what can actually be established from the footage.
